L’uomo nel Poncho
In a Fibers and Non-Wovens course, I created a textured, asymmetrical poncho. The textile is made from mop yarn sewn together with a tight, zig zag stitch. Once I created the textile, I used hand-drafted patterns to manipulate the fabric into an art piece that can be worn or displayed. L’uomo nel Poncho was one of the few fiber pieces selected by a panel of judges to be in the annual Baylor Art Student Exhibition in the Martin Museum of Art.
