The High Line
The High Line is a hand-dyed and stitched piece of felted wool that was created out of nostalgia for New York City. I dyed pre-felted and hand-felted wool with silk ties to add depth to the piece and then added a variety of stitches. The contrasting geometric stitches and organic shapes are strategically placed to represent the City That Never Sleeps from an abstract point of view. The High Line was one of the few fiber pieces selected by a panel of judges to be included in the annual Baylor Art Student Exhibition in the Martin Museum of Art.
